True Meaning of ‘Die’hard Fans

You know times are tough when Major League Baseball is entering into licensing agreements with casket companies.  Eternal Image is a casket and urn company that’s “mission is to give people the freedom to reflect the passions of their lives in a meaningful, tasteful way.”

What will one of these MLB logo items run you?  Well, you can order a casket for $4499 or an urn for $799.

According to the New York Post the first one has been sold to a Michigan family for $3000 to “bury their baseball-loving dad.” Sounds like they got a first time buyer discount.

Well, I guess this was Bud Selig’s way of ensuring there are no layoffs in MLB like there has been in the NBA.  I think it’s kind of creepy personally.  I wonder how the team owners and players feel about it?  What’s next endorsements from coffin companies?
