NFL Week 3 Wrap-up

It was a week of surprises, upsets and injuries.  Who would have predicted that the Seahawks, with their depleted offensive line, would pull out the win over St. Louis?  Who would have thought that the Miami Dolphins, the worst team in the league last year, would upset the New England Patriots in such a stunning fashion?

Then the Cowboys get their first win at Lambeau Field.  Is this a statement to Brett Favre’s legacy?  I mean the guys gone and now Dallas can win a game in Green Bay, it sure makes you wonder.  Then again, Favre was sacked 3 times and picked off twice when the Jets faced the San Diego Chargers on Monday night.

And how about those Colts.  They are now 0-4 in their new Lucas Oil stadium after falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars.  I’ll go back to what I said yesterday that newer and bigger is not always better, maybe this new stadium is a curse.

As for injuries here are the 4 biggest ones:  Brian Westbrook, Jason Taylor, Ben Roethlisberger, and Jeremy Shockey.  We’ll have to watch and see this week what happens with these guys.  We already know that Taylor will not play on Sunday against the Cowboys and that Shockey is out for 3-6 weeks but, we’ll have to play the waiting game on Westbrook and Big Ben.

Here are the weeks scores brought to you this week by the San Diego Chargers Cheerleaders:
