I Love Jason Whitlock

Okay, maybe love is strong word but…I can say it, I’m a girl.   Anyways in today’s column on FoxSports Jason Whitlock ends his list with:

1. Is anything more enjoyable than watching the Cowboys bomb and T.O. implode on the sideline?

As I said last week, Jerry Jones knows talent and is willing to pursue it. He knows nothing about winning chemistry and how to build it or maintain it.

This is classic!  Whitlock is a man who is not worried about his job and doesn’t have a muzzle put on him.  I can see why he works for FoxSports and not ESPN.  He could never get away with this style over at the Nazi (oops, did I say that) run Third Reich called ESPN.

Whitlock has a very valid point in what he is saying, though.  The Cowboys entered the season looking like they had all the pieces to create a Super Bowl winning puzzle but, it has slowly deteriorated.  As the level of play deteriorates you can guarantee the level of professionalism in certain athletes will follow suit.

Jones packed the team with talent and attitude which makes an electrifying combination when you have both on the field.  When one of those elements is removed often times the other will overcompensate.  In this instance we are begining to see TO’s attitude surface a bit more and let’s hope it doesn’t spiral out of control (i.e. Eagle’s era).

If Jerry Jones would spend half the effort and money on teamwork and personnel development as he spends on PR and babysitters he could have a stellar team.  Maybe the latest events in Dallas will make him rethink he’s method of management.  Then again, the drama in Dallas makes everyone constantly aware of the team so money will continue to pour in.
