Brady Quinn’s Debut

Holy shit it’s really happening!  After seeing him stump for John McCain and chug his Myoplex shakes on TV we finally get to see him play football. The Cleveland Browns have finally made the leap and will start Brady Quinn at QB against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.  Yes, they say it’s because Derek Anderson has gone 3-5 for the start of the season and their going to try Quinn, but we all know the real reason they’re doing it now.  Why not, you’re going against the Denver Broncos.  Relax Denver fans I’m not bashing the team.  I’m one the biggest Bronco’s fans there is but you’ve got to admit our defense is awful.  It’s ranked 29th in the league and without Champ or Boss Bailey it’s only going to get worse.

Playing against the Broncos has it’s upside in that he’ll have a chance to get playing time, make some big plays to boost his confidence and the Cleveland fans can finally see what he’s made of.  The downside is that playing against the 3rd worst D in the league does not an impressive start make.  Also, if the offensive line can’t hold up to Denver’s Elvis Dumervil and Ebenezer Ekuban than Quinn could have a really rough start.

Browns fans remember this is not the be all end all tale of your new QB.  If the Browns pull off a win (which I’m gonna say is NOT happening) you still need to see Quinn play a few more games before crowning him the next King.
